Prince Albert Stories

Kweekvallei in 1778 from Gordon's Atlas in the Rijks Museum collection, Amsterdam

I can join you for a pre-dinner glass of wine to tell stories about Prince Albert from the days of the original farm, Kweekvallei, how we came to be named after Queen Victoria's consort, experiences from the Anglo-Boer War, our Gold Rush, how the Swartberg Pass came to be built and anecdotes about curious characters such as Hennie 'Velsambreel" - the umbrella man whose nephew pushed him round the village in a cart.

The hour-long programme includes entertaining yarns, little known facts, good laughs and a couple of ghost stories.
